PermEscape, Inc. was established July, 2003. Our goal is to ensure that residents of every multi-level home, condo, or apartment building have multiple escape routes when faced with an emergency as tragic as a residential fire. With new products like ours on the market, PermEscape, Inc. hopes to reduce, if not eliminate, the occurrences of people being trapped in upper level fires. |

Our first goal was to design an evacuation system that could be installed directly beneath the windowsill, exactly where the fire escape needs to be for quick and easy access. By installing our fire escape system directly at the window, it will make for one of the fastest fire escape evacuation systems currently available on the market. Most people do not realize how quickly smoke from a fire can be become fatal. The precious seconds that are gained from easy access to our fire escape system can mean the difference between life and death.

Our second goal was to design the safest fire escape system possible. To make sure of this we decided to have our product tested by the Underwriters Laboratories (UL). The Underwriters Laboratories have some of the toughest testing criteria available. After intensive testing PermEscape’s fire escape system received the UL’s approval.
PermEscape was UL Classified from July 2003 to December 2006. Due to changes in policies the UL decided not to carry fire escapes in their categories starting on January 1, 2007.
PermEscape, Inc. is based in St. Louis, Missouri and our fire escape systems are also made and assembled in St. Louis, Missouri. We are very proud to put an American flag sticker on each one of our fire escape systems to show they are: Made in the U.S.A.
