In The Event Of a Fire:

  • Close bedroom door.
  • Open cabinet door.
  • Open the window directly above PermEscape.
  • Remove screen from the window.
  • Tilt out the PermEscape box containing the escape ladder.
  • Take out the first rung and continue feeding each rung out the window until the ladder is fully extended.
  • Grab the top ladder rung and carefully climb down to safety.

Standard unit with 12ft. escape ladder. Recommended for sill to ground distances of 8ft. minimum to 13ft. maximum. The needed space for installation underneath the windowsill is 15-1/2 inches minimum. 600 LB Load Capacity

PE1500

Standard unit with 15ft. escape ladder. Recommended for sill to ground distances of 14ft. minimum to 16ft. maximum. The needed space for installation underneath the windowsill is 18 inches minimum. 600 LB Load Capacity

PE1800

Standard unit with 18ft. escape ladder. Recommended for sill to ground distances of 17ft. minimum to 19ft. maximum. The needed space for installation underneath the windowsill is 20-1/2 inches minimum. 600 LB Load Capacity

PE2100

Standard unit with 21ft. escape ladder. Recommended for sill to ground distances of 20ft. minimum to 22ft. maximum. The needed space for installation underneath the windowsill is 23 inches minimum. 600 LB Load Capacity

Finishes

All metal components are furnished with a durable and attractive powder coated finish. The ladder rungs are powder coated with a bright yellow finish for exceptional visibility. Access door coated to accept any finish.






Special Instructions:

  • Any internal obstructions that could deter proper use of the ladder must be kept clear of the fire escape or kept at a safe distance.

  • Always check for external obstructions before extending the ladder. Keep exterior clear of any items that may cause improper functioning of the ladder.

  • Do not attempt to use the ladder if the window sill is wider than 12 inches.
